I would love your help!  Two years ago I was asked to submit a topic for a TedX talk and was selected then COVID hit.  We filmed it last March and it has finally been released by TED talks.  I am so excited to share this with you and I need your help getting this out there. Please share this video with EVERY woman you know.  Don’t send to only women who don’t feel good and have implants.  Send it to every single person and ask them to send it to every woman they know regardless if they are not feeling good or have implants.  There are a multitude of women out there that feel bad but have never connected the dots between their symptoms and their implants.  There are women who have had the implants removed and are still feeling bad and are discouraged and don’t know where to turn.  Please share this video!   I have also posted this on facebook and Instagram to make sharing even easier.

Breast implant illness is a name that has been coined when someone feels bad and thinks it is related to their implant.  There is not a diagnostic test available that connects the two so it is a difficult journey to decipher the causes of their symptoms.  Traditional medicine ignores breast implant issues because of this.  It is known that people can react to other implants like hip replacements, dental implants etc so why is it such a stretch to think this could be happening due to the implants.  You need to know that I am not an implant hater.  Nor do I think all implants will make you sick and that all women who have implants will get sick.  I tell all my patients who suspect this is an issue that the most important piece of the puzzle we have to figure is if there is another reason for their symptoms before they have a surgery to remove them.

We all recognize these conditions:

  • Autoimmune conditions like lupus, scleroderma
  • Rheumatoid arthritis
  • Hashimoto’s thyroid
  • Fibromyalgia

But what CAUSED these conditions?  These are just names for a cluster of symptoms.  Maybe, just maybe, an implant set the spark for these to ramp up.  Keep in mind there are many potential underlying causes that have to be considered, also.

Breast implant illness symptoms are all over the board and are different for every single woman. Symptoms can include:

  • Joint pain
  • Headache
  • Rashes
  • Fatigue
  • Muscle aches
  • Hair loss
  • Body odor
  • Sleep issues
  • Burning sensations
  • Anxiety
  • Brain fog

….

And the list goes on.

When I’m working with someone who has these symptoms my approach is to “leave no stone unturned”  regardless if this is an implant issue or not.  Don’t stop searching for answers!

To your health,

Laura
